We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role offers hands-on exposure to cost management, measurement, and project documentation while working under the guidance of experienced QS professionals. Ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in quantity surveying within the construction or interior fit-out sector.
Requirements
- Diploma or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of quantity measurement
- Ability to read architectural drawings (training will be provided).
- Proficiency in MS Excel; AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.
- Good communication, analytical skills, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:
- Assist in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, rate analysis, and measurement sheets for projects.
- Support material take-offs, quantity verification, and cost breakdowns.
- Help review drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
- Assist in collecting supplier/subcontractor quotations and preparing comparison sheets.
- Support the senior QS and project team in contract preparation and documentation.
- Assist in progress measurement, interim payment applications, and cost reporting.
- Maintain proper project documentation and filing.
